I have been teaching piano and music theory for over 40 years, initially overseas and in Houston, Texas since 1995. I love what I do and it makes me happy to be able to share my passion with others. I can teach anyone as young as 4 years old to play and read music.  With my customized approach, I have seen my Houston area students’ self-esteem and skill-set consistently rise. With hundreds of students over the decades, I have brought music and theory to many talented young people, with several of them receiving awards and scholarships. Piano Lessons

With a tried and trusted curriculum, I am able to create a custom approach for any student of any age. Learn at the pace that is right for you. Piano and music theory instruction is combined into lessons ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Music Theory
You can read musical notation after just a few lessons
Music theory is my specialty and is essential for a complete musical education; this is why theory and piano instruction is combined in every lesson. Music theory instruction can be given to any student without piano lessons. For years, I served as the Chairman of the Houston's Music Teacher Association Theory Test and consistently have the most student's take the exam.
Music History
Music has a rich history
From Classical to Modern, music has a wide and varied history. Students will receive a comprehensive musical education. If so desired, students knowledge will be tested with the World of Music test administered once a year.
Recitals are held every year in the Spring to showcase every student's progress. My youngest students can be from 4 years old and the eldest are in college and beyond. The Unitarian Fellowship of Houston has been our gracious host for many years.
