About Me
Houston's Best Piano and Music Theory Instructor
I earned my musical education from the Musical College in Baku, Azerbaijan. In 1992, my family immigrated to Houston, Texas. In 1995, I started my own private lessons with an old upright piano in my apartment. I taught for 16 years at the Suzuki Music School of Houston directed by Mrs. Kurinets. I have been the Chairman of the Music Theory Exam for the Houston Music Teacher's Association and am now the President of the organization from 2018 to 2020. Over the past 40 years, I have happily and successfully brought piano and music theory education to hundreds of families.
My two children, Victoria and Kirill, are both out of college. Victoria is studying to become a genetic counselor at M.D. Anderson Medical Center and can play the piano and violin. Kirill is a Ph.D. Research Scientist with the National Institutes of Health in Rockville, MD. He learned to play the clarinet and guitar.
